Freelancer / Software Engineer
After finishing the bachelor, I started my master degree in computer science (Informatik). My main focus was on data science, databases,
clustering & classification. But I also gained some practical experience in 3D-Modelling & Animation, Game Development and Information Visualization.
Master thesis topic: "Crowd counting/-estimation using a Convolutional Neural Network"
I studied media computer science (Medieninformatik) with a focus on software engineering & app development. My subsidiary subject was Human-Computer interaction.
Leistungskurse: Mathematik, Biologie
After I finished my studies in 2017, I started as a full-time R&D software engineer at G+D Mobile Security GmbH. Currently I am working in a project team that develops an universal framework to secure mobile applications (iOS|Android).
As a student I was working at G+D 3S GmbH. As G+D is an international company operating worldwide, I got in touch with people from all over the world. My main task was to give technical support to running projects. I also got insights into project management & process management.
At Panasonic I worked in the division "Digital image processing". During this time I gained hands-on experience in software development and hardware testing.
In 2007 I started working as a freelancer with a wide broad scope of interests. The project ranged from developing websites, to designing business cards and flyers... or even designing a calendar with one of my friends who works as a photographer. Over the years I started to develop iOS apps. You can see some of my work in the next section "Projects / Portfolio".
I'm always looking for new projects
Contact meHere you can see samples of some of my projects. The range goes from apps to 3D animation to cooperate designs. Click through the slideshow or press on the image to get more details about a project.

Results of my master thesis using a CNN to estimate crowd counting. The green line shows the ground truth people count and the blue line shows the estimate people/crowd count of the CNN.
Thanks to UCSD for providing this dataset. More information about the UCSD crowd counting dataset:

This movie was the result of a 3D-Blender course, which I attended at the LMU. My goal was to make a product film about one of my favourite bikes. It took me a lot of time modelling all the details of the bike. Rendering the whole movie took about 14 hours on a rendering farm at the LMU.
In 2016 I took part in the "Open Games Workshop" at the LMU. The aim was to develop an augmented reality game for mobile devices. We created a racing game, where you can build your own race track in the real world and then transform it to an virtual track by scanning the gameboard with your mobile device.
"Arrows Maze" is an iOS (iPad) puzzle game. The goal is to navigate the blue square with arrows to the red square through a maze. The player has a limited number of arrows to master each level. Especially spatial and logical thinking is required in this game.
"#HashTagHunter" is the name of a project I worked on with some fellow students at the LMU seminar "Data Science". We analyzed over 500 GB of tweets.
Logos, business cards and other business office material.
This calendar was a project I did in 2014 with one of my friends, who is an outstanding photographer. We sold over 500 copies. You can have a look at his website: www.philippearlt.de
"Schafkopf" is a very traditional and popular bavarian card game. I made an app where you can keep track of all played rounds. You also get additional statistics. You can download the app here: Click here

I love the speed of the road, when it feels like you are flying through the landscape. But climbing up the mountains, being in the nature, with a moutainbike has its charm too.
Fitness is a good addition to cycling. It's a whole body workout and you are independant from any weather conditions. You can always push yourself to the limit.
An obstacle race is a combination of running and workout exercises. It makes much more fun than pure long distance running. Each obstacle has its own challenge and often you have to work together in teams to master an obstacle.
